Fort Worth to Replace Century-Old Pipes Downtown

City to replace five blocks of pipe

Starting Monday, drivers in downtown Fort Worth will have some added traffic to deal with as the city works to upgrade water lines in the area.

The city will start replacing five blocks of water lines, some that date back to the early 1900s.

No streets will close while the lines are worked on, but lane closures should be expected on 3rd, Main and Houston streets.

Work on the water lines could last until the end of June.
