Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Cancels More Concerts After Strike

It seems as if the show must not go on.

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Association (FWSOA) announced that their upcoming concerts through Sept. 25 will be canceled due to the ongoing musician strike.

That means two concerts—one scheduled for Saturday the 24th and one on the 25th—are canceled. No other concerts are affected at this time, according to an FWSOA press release.

“It is with deep regret that we had to cancel these additional concerts,” stated FWSOA President and CEO Amy Adkins. “We recognize the inconvenience and disappointment this causes our patrons, and we appreciate their patience during this difficult period.”

Last week, musicians at the symphony orchestra went on strike to protest pay cuts. They are still protesting and demand pay raises before playing in any more concerts.

The FWSOA said they will notify ticket holders immediately regarding options for what to do with their unused tickets.

They are encouraged to hold on to their tickets and wait to be notified. For more information, go here.
