A Fort Worth police officer is on restricted duty after he was arrested early Tuesday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Police said Evan Geraghty Wincovitch had been driving a vehicle that was involved in a minor crash at about 2:35 a.m. along the 8300 block of Randol Mill Road.
Officers who responded to the single-vehicle crash arrested Wincovitch, and his gun and badge were confiscated, police said, pending the outcome of an investigation.
Wincovitch has been a Fort Worth police officer since February 2008 and was assigned to the East patrol division.
