Fort Worth Going Purple Again for Horned Frogs


    The Chesapeake Energy building in downtown Fort Worth was little up purple Thursday night ahead of Go Purple Day in Cowtown.

    Fort Worth is once again going purple to support the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs.

    The Frogs baseball team earned their first trip to the NCAA College World Series with a 2-1 series win over the Texas Longhorns last weekend.

    Starting Friday, Mayor Mike Moncrief is asking everyone to wear purple all weekend to show support for the hometown team.

    The fourth-ranked Frogs will face Florida State in the first game of the CWS on Saturday.

    The first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
