Fort Worth Cats Will No Longer Play at LaGrave Field

Owner says team is looking for new stadium.

The Fort Worth Cats baseball team is looking for a new home because LaGrave Field is not available next season, the owner said.

Cats owner John Bryant said the developer who owns LaGrave Field notified the team the stadium is no longer available for rent.

The stadium is located along the Trinity River north of downtown Fort Worth.

"He said he won't renew the lease," Bryant said.

Bryant said the team is looking for a new stadium in Fort Worth, but may have to move to another city in North Texas.

The Cats, which are not affiliated with Major League Baseball, originally started playing at LaGrave in the early 1900s; LaGrave Field was rebuilt in 2001.
