The city of Fort Worth is breaking ground on a public swimming pool for the first time in 50 years.

The groundbreaking for the new pool was held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The city wants to replace an old pool at Marine Park with a new $4 million aquatic facility.

Swimmers can take to the water next spring.
