Forney HS to Reopen to 9th Grade Tuesday, Wednesday

District hopes school will reopen to all students Thursday

Forney High School will be closed Monday, March 26.  The district's website reports a pipe burst inside the main water line in the ceiling of the school, causing flooding.

Approximately 75 percent of the school received water damage due to the leak.

With STAAR testing scheduled to start on Monday, the district has put a new schedule in place for the remainder of the week.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the high school will open to only 9th graders takign the STAAR test.  They will be released early, at 2 p.m., both days.

This district hopes to reopen the campus to all students on Thursday.

All other campuses in the Forney ISD are open.
