Former Dallas Firefighter's Funeral Held Monday

Relatives and loved ones will gather Monday morning to honor the life of a Dallas firefighter who fell to his death almost a week ago.

The funeral of 40-year-old William Scott Tanksley will be held at the Eubanks Funeral Home in Maybank.

Tanskley died after he was hit by a sliding car on a flyover from eastbound Interstate 20.
The firefighter was on foot helping a motorist when he was hit by the car and pushed over the bridge onto Spur 408. Tanksley died from the fall.

NBC DFW will stream the funeral live beginning at about 10 a.m. Monday.
