Forest Hill Officer Injured After Crash

Officer has minor injuries after truck sideswipes patrol car

Forest Hill police say one of its officers was injured after a crash Monday morning.

An officer was running radar over Interstate 20 on the Anglin Road bridge when a truck sideswiped the officer's patrol car, police said.

The truck did not stop, leading the officer on a short chase, police said. The truck stopped after about two blocks, according to police.

The officer's injuries were not serious, but the officer was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

The car had minor damage to the side of the door, a flat tire and damage to the side mirror.

The driver of the truck was taken to jail.
