Ford Recalls 37,000 2015 F-150 Pickup Trucks

Ford Motor Company is recalling thousands of its best-selling trucks because they could slam on the brakes when they shouldn't.

The recall involves 37,000 F-150 pick-ups from the 2015 model year.

The problem occurs when the truck is in what's called "adaptive cruise control" mode, which applies the brakes if it detects an obstacle.

Ford says when the truck passes a large, highly reflective truck, the radar can be fooled into thinking that large truck is in the F-150's lane and then hit the brakes.

Ford said it is aware of one accident that could be a result of the problem, but it's unaware of any injuries.

The problem can be fixed with a software update.
