Changes are coming to Flower Mound's waste and recycling services.

After a second vote, the Denton County town has awarded a contract to Waste Management of Texas, Inc.

The Flower Mound Leader reports the new contract is expected to save the city more than $1 million in one year.

Those savings translate to about $2.50 per month per resident.
