The Dallas County medical examiner has identified a driver killed in a crash while fleeing a hit-and-run crash that took place moments before.
Marlena Samuels, 25, was killed after she crashed into a FedEx truck on Belt Line Road near Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie Saturday.
Police said Samuels had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital in critical condition. She died shortly after arrival.
The driver of the FedEx truck was not injured in the crash.
Police said Samuels was fleeing a previous crash scene where she struck a minivan.
No one was injured in the minor crash and officers, who had not yet arrived on the scene of the first crash, were not following Samuels at the time of her second crash.
