First Baptist Church Gets State-Of-The-Art Campus

First Baptist Dallas will celebrate the new facilities Easter weekend

They're calling it, the largest church building campaign in modern history. First Baptist Dallas is opening its new state-of-the-art $130 million campus on March 31, Easter Sunday..

The church is led by nationally known pastor Dr. Robert Jeffress.

The new 500,000-square-foot campus is part of an extensive revitalization of downtown Dallas. It follows the recent opening of several multi-million dollar museums, theaters and parks.

First Baptist Dallas has been in the same location since its founding in 1868.

According to the church, the new campus highlights the landmark sanctuary alongside a new 3,000-seat worship center, which includes the latest, high-tech features, such as a 150-foot-wide viewing screen. It stretches across nearly two-thirds of the room and consists of seven high-definition projectors blended together, making it one of the largest viewing screens in any church in the world.

A glass sky bridge connects the worship center to the five-story Horner Family Center which features children's classrooms, a gymnasium and three age-appropriate indoor playgrounds.

The campus even has a new seven-story parking garage.

First Baptist Dallas will celebrate the grand opening of the new campus beginning Sunday, March 24, with the lighting of the cross-tower and fountain. On Sunday, March 31, the church will hold two morning services in the new worship center.
