Firefighters have contained a massive blaze at a vacant washateria in Southeast Dallas.

People nearby called to report heavy smoke coming from the building in the 2600 block of S. Lancaster Road at about 9:20 a.m. on Saturday, officials say.

The fire was later upgraded to a six-alarm fire as it ripped through four adjacent businessess, according to fire officials.

The washateria is part of a strip center.

There are no reported injuries, but firefighters are still trying to determine whether anyone was inside any of the businesses at the time.
