Fire in Houston Leads to $4 Million in Marijuana

A call about a possible fire at a Houston-area home has led investigators to about 1,000 marijuana plants with a street value topping $4 million.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office says nobody has been arrested in the investigation of the marijuana-growing operation at a rented house.

No fire was found Wednesday after a neighbor called about a possible house blaze and possible shots fired.

Details released Thursday indicate emergency responders discovered marijuana plants growing throughout the house, including in the garage. Nobody was home.

Investigators are trying to track down more details on the residence in northwest Harris County.
