Fort Worth's Hydro-Expo, Inc., was destroyed early Wednesday by a two-alarm fire.

Firefighters responded to the 2900 block of Alta Mere in Fort Worth this morning to find the business up in flames. While trying to make entry into the building, an awning collapsed and trapped two firefighters.

A short time later, the trapped firefighters were able to free themselves.  The pair suffered minor bumps and bruises, but were treated at the scene and went right back to battling the fire.

Hydro-Expo, Inc., specializes in products for hydroponic gardeners who grow fruits, vegetables and plants indoors using water and special nutrients.
