Firefighters battled a fire at this home in Keller on Saturday.

Firefighters rescued two dogs from a house fire in Keller.

It broke out around 3:00 p.m. on Saturday in the 600 block of Rufe Snow.

Watauga, North Hills, Colleyville and West Lake Fire Departments helped put out the flames.

Investigators are still trying to determine what started the fire.

"Anytime there is a fire, whether it is the holidays or not, holidays just make it worse," Shane Gainer with the Keller Fire Department said. "You always feel for the people. It's your livelihood, it's your life. I don't know what they have lost or haven't lost. Obviously that tears everybody up a little bit."

Firefighters remind homeowners to be extra careful during the holidays when there are more fire hazards than usual.
