Fire lit up the early morning sky Thursday as Bedford firefighters battled a blaze at an abandoned home.
Flames shot through the roof of the house at 533 Bedford Road, where fire crews said heavy fire was coming from the second floor of the house.
While firefighters battled the fire, Bedford Road near Brown Trail was closed to vehicular traffic.
