Kennedale residents might notice an odd smell in the air due to a trash pile that has been burning all morning Thursday.[[301079991,C]]
Authorities said they don't know what originally sparked the fire at the landfill in the 4100 block of Dick Price Road. Tarrant County Fire Marshal Randy Renois said firefighters put the fire out earlier, but it reignited for some reason.
Workers spent the morning using bulldozers to try to cover the flames with dirt and trash.
Renois said the fire does not prose a threat to nearby property, but nearby residents like Dan Novikoff said the odor and smoke have been unpleasant.[[301081391,C]]
