Police say a man fatally shot his father-in-law during a domestic dispute at a North Texas home.
Arlington police spokeswoman Tiara Ellis Richard said officers were called to a home Tuesday evening and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Richard said the man died at an Arlington hospital.
Richard says investigators believe 34-year-old David Matthew Merrill was the shooter. He was jailed Wednesday on a murder charge with bail set at $50,000. Online jail records didn't list an attorney for Merrill.
Richard says the investigation was in its early stages Wednesday. The victim wasn't immediately identified.
