Father Facing Charges for Wreck That Killed Son, 4

A Texas man is being held on $250,000 bond in Chicago after authorities say he was driving drunk, causing a crash that killed his 4-year-old son.

The Dec. 22 wreck on the Dan Ryan Expressway killed the preschooler from League City, who died from head trauma after he was thrown through the back window of the Ford Expedition.

The boy wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

Three other children -- a 1-year-old, a 2-year-old old and a 3-month old -- weren't injured. Nor was a 23-year-old woman who was in the vehicle.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports 46-year-old Franklin L. Jackson is charged with reckless homicide and aggravated driving under the influence.

It wasn't immediately clear if Jackson had an attorney.
