One person is dead after a crash on Preston Road, along the on-ramp to the President George Bush Turnpike.
The crash happened around 4 a.m.
Department of Public Safety officials say a Nissan Altima was heading west on the service road to the turnpike when an Infinity hit the car from behind. The Altima caught on fire. The driver died on the scene.
The driver of the Infinity fled the scene, DPS officials said.
They were eventually found and were taken to the hospital for their injuries.
Preston Road was closed in both directions at the turnpike while troopers investigate.
Troopers reopened the road around 8:50 a.m. The ramp to the turnpike is still closed due to guardrail damage.
