Driver in Fatal I-635 Crash Charged With Intoxication Manslaughter

Dallas police are charging a man with intoxication manslaughter after they say he hit and killed a man on Interstate 635 near the Dallas North Tollway early Thursday morning.

The crash closed all the westbound lanes of I-635 for several hours.

According to authorities, two vehicles were involved in a crash in the westbound lanes when a third vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed hit the two vehicles from behind.

One driver told NBC 5's Keaton Fox he had to jump out of the way of a that third vehicle to avoid being hit.

The other driver was unable to move and was killed after being pinned between the vehicles.

Cleanup continued through the morning and was completed at about 6:16 a.m.
