One week ago, Alejandra Gonzalez left Sunset High School and has not been seen since.
Gonzalez is an 18-year-old with special needs. Her family said previously that she has the mentality of a 6-year-old.
Wednesday, a large group stood together on the front steps of the high school while Gonzalez's mother quietly talked to the group, asking everyone to pray.
Everyone in the group was asked to look for her, send out text messages and post her picture on Facebook to keep this out in the public.
Her cousin told NBC 5 this has been extremely hard for them.
“We are trying to hang in there. Today is a week. It is getting really hard to keep our hopes up and stuff, but we are not giving up,” said cousin Stephanie Molina.
