FW Police Chief to 2 Officers: You're Fired

Two Fort Worth police officers are out of a job after they allegedly found themselves on the wrong side of the law.

Police Chief Jeffrey W. Halstead said Tuesday Officer P. Payton and Officer E.G. Carr were fired.

Carr was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated in Keller last month. In dashboard camera video, Carr can be heard pleading for his job after scuffling with the Keller officers.

"I don't want to lose my job," he said repeatedly after he was handcuffed.

Payton was fired after he was convicted of driving while intoxicated in North Richland Hills earlier this month.

Both Payton and Carr were commissioned as police officers on May 2, 2008.
