Person Shot As FBI Raids Quinlan Home

Bank robbery suspects were inside house, reports say

One person was injured early Thursday morning during an FBI raid on a house in Quinlan.

An FBI SWAT team arrived at the home at about 6 a.m., said spokeswoman Katie Chaumont.

"It's my understanding there was a shooting," she said.

The Greenville Herald Banner reported two bank robbery suspects were inside the house. The one injured was taken to Hunt Regional Healthcare Hospital in Greenville. The second was arrested, the newspaper said.

Chaumont would not reveal the condition of the person injured, confirm the nature of the investigation or discuss the circumstances of the shooting. She did say no law enforcement officers were injured in the operation.

Chopper 5 flew over the scene and spotted an armored transport, several agents outside under a tent and evidence being collected from the home.

The location is in the 10000-block of Cody Lane, which is just west of W.H. Ford High School.

Chaumont said SWAT agents cleared the scene about 8:45 a.m. and other investigators searched for evidence into the afternoon.

More information may be released later Thursday.
