FBI Looking for Man Who Likely Robbed Garland, Lakewood Banks 3 Months After Prison Release

Garland police say they have identified the man they believed robbed a Capitol One Bank branch on June 8 — and, they say, he’s very likely the same man who robbed a Lakewood bank this morning.

According to police, he’s 52-year-old Gregory Wayne Davidson, and county records show he’s been arrested several times before dating back to 1981. In 2002 he pleaded guilty to bank robbery and was sentenced to 180 months in federal prison. Joe Harn, spokesman for the Garland Police Department, says Davidson was released in March.
