Ex-Ohio Minister Arrested in Texas in funds Flap

A former Ohio minister sought after an audit revealed about $67,000 missing from his church has been arrested in Central Texas.

Bell County jail records show 46-year-old Jerry Francis was being held without bond Friday on two counts of felony money laundering.

Online jail records don't list an attorney for Francis, who was arrested Monday in Temple and faces extradition to the Dayton, Ohio, area. He listed an address in Temple, about 60 miles northeast of Austin, in court documents.

Francis formerly led Great Hope Community Church in New Carlisle, Ohio. He was indicted Monday in Ohio.

Church officials say Francis was removed as pastor and his credentials were revoked after confirmation that funds were missing. The investigation started earlier this year.
