Several Ellis County residents awoke to smoke and flames at about midnight Thursday when a two-story house caught fire.
Three local fire departments battled together to get the fire under control.
Sources said the fire was so large that flames were visible three miles away.
Officials said they have not been in touch with the home's owner and do not know if anyone was inside the home when it caught fire. Additionally, no vehicles were on the property.
No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is not yet been confirmed.
