Earthquake Shakes Irving For 2nd Time This Weekend

The U.S. Geological Survey confirmed a magnitude 2.5 earthquake shook Irving on Sunday afternoon. It's the second earthquake in the city in less than 24 hours.

It occurred at 3:40 p.m. Sunday. The epicenter is along Loop 12 just south of where it intersects with State Highway 183. There are no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

Saturday night's magnitude 3.3 quake happened at 9:15 p.m. just northeast of the old Texas Stadium site.

It was felt by hundreds of North Texans. The NBCDFW Facebook Fan page received more than 1300 comments about it.

A magnitude 2.3 earthquake was reported in Irving on November 10.
