Duncanville police are asking for help identifying a suspect who assaulted and burglarized a woman's apartment over the weekend.

The Duncanville Police Department said the incident happened on Saturday on the 600 block of North Alexander Avenue when the victim returned home and discovered the person inside her apartment.

The man forced the woman to remove her clothing and then began to assault her and ransack her apartment, police said. The suspect, who speaks Spanish, told the victim he had been following her for some time.

When she fought back, the man fled.

Police released a description of the man as Latino, about 5 feet 6 inches to 6 feet tall with a heavy build, weighing approximately 270 pounds. He is about 30 to 40 years old and has a thick mustache and short dark-colored hair.
