Drowning Victim Found at Possum Kingdom Lake

    Emergency crews recovered the body of a drowning victim at Possum Kingdom Lake on Sunday afternoon.

    According to a news release, The Brazos River Authority Lake Rangers and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Game Wardens recovered the  body of 27-year-old Lindsey Culver in the cove near Hells Gate around 2:24 p.m. 

    Culver, who is from Lubbock, was found in an area where the water is 25-35 feet deep.

    The Tarrant County medical examiner's office will conduct an autopsy on her body.

    Culver went missing around 9:20 p.m. Saturday before the annual "Hell's Gate Fireworks" show was to begin. The fireworks display was delayed and later canceled.

    Possum Kingdom Lake is in Palo Pinto County, about 70 miles west of Fort Worth.
