A driver has died following a wreck on a drag strip at Houston Motorsports Park.
Investigators said the accident happened Sunday night. The name of the car driver was not immediately released.
KPRC-TV reported the Chevrolet Camaro was making a practice run when the driver was unable to stop. The vehicle crashed through some barriers and hit a wall.
Further details on the accident weren't immediately available. Police did not immediately return a message Monday. A message left with Houston Motorsports Park was not immediately returned.
Houston Motorsports Park, on its website, advertised Sunday night's races as Grudge Drags, with a $10 fee to compete. The track features a NASCAR speedway and an NHRA drag strip.
