Duncanville police are warning residents about a group that is going door-to-door selling magazine subscriptions under the guise of fundraising for school.

The individuals, who say they are employees of South Coast Circulations, Inc., are misleading residents by claiming to be local high school or college students raising money for a trip to London, police said.

Duncanville Crime Prevention Specialist Doug Sisk advises consumers to request to see permits from solicitors and says consumers should research any business before investing or purchasing goods and services.

Residents are asked to call Duncanville Police at 972-223-6111 to report solicitors who do not have a permit.
