Authorities said a dog was killed in a two-alarm fire at an Arlington home early Tuesday morning.
Arlington police and firefitghters were dispatched to the home in the 2100 block of Hillridge court at about 1:15 a.m.
Firefighters said they arrived to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the home. The fire quickly spread before fully involving the house.
The fire had been mostly extinguished by 3:30 a.m.
Officials said no one was injured, but the homeowner had a dog that died from smoke inhalation.
