A bus driver who was arrested last month after police said he pulled a knife on three children aboard his bus has been fired, the Mansfield Independent School District said Monday.

On Dec. 16, 2008, three sixth-grade girls accused William Allen of threatening to cut them for leaving cookie crumbs on the seat, police said.

Officers said they later confiscated a pocketknife from the 66-year-old bus driver. Allen was charged with making a terroristic threat, according to court documents.

The district had originally placed Allen on leave pending an investigation by school administrators and the district's police department.
