Deputy: Texas Man Cut Father-in-Law With Machete

Authorities in southeast Texas say a man and his father-in-law have been arrested after a domestic dispute that involved a machete attack and shooting.

The Galveston Daily News reports sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the Algoa home several times on Sunday before the feud turned violent.

Capt. Mike Benavides said the men were fighting over use of a water well.

Jeffrey Cisneros, 35, is accused of slashing his father-in-law's arm with a machete and is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Benavides said 44-year-old Neil Braddock fired at least one gunshot into a trailer. He was charged with deadly conduct.

Benavides said Braddock sustained "significant" injuries to his arm.

It wasn't immediately available if either man has an attorney.
