Denton Woman Arrested, Accused in Murder-for-Hire Plot

Police said woman agreed to have her spouse killed for money

A Denton County woman has been arrested, accused of trying to hire someone to kill her husband, police say.

Jacquaeline Zalina Williams, 64, was arrested Oct. 25 after telling an undercover agent she wanted someone to kill her spouse, police said.

An associate of Williams' told police in September that she was trying to find someone to kill her husband.

Investigators with the Denton Police Department, the Texas Rangers and the Texas Department of Public Safety surreptitiously arranged a meeting with Williams. During that meeting, Williams expressed her desire for her spouse to be killed, and gave authorization for the murder to take place for an agreed upon price.

Williams was arrested Saturday morning, without incident, and is being held on $250,000 bail, police said.

Police have released no further details and said the investigation into the murder for hire plot is ongoing.
