Denton Foreman Resigns After Copper Theft Charges

Construction foreman resigned after copper theft charges

A construction foreman with Denton Municipal Electric has now resigned after being suspected of stealing copper.

Police say Lucas Hawkins took city materials on at least three occasions and gave them to a homeless man to sell.

According to the Denton Record Chronicle, Hawkins was arrested and released on bail.

His suspected accomplice, James Dobra, remains in jail.
