It's a real-life law enforcement drama, a Denton County Sheriff's Deputy posed as a dirty cop in an undercover sting operation that included bribery, money laundering, drug trafficking and even attempted murder-for-hire. (Published Monday, Dec 22, 2008)

Investigators say the suspects offered the undercover officer huge bribes to get charges dropped against them.

"He was told that he could earn 2-million dollars in a very short length of time if he would go along with and help their operation," said Denton County's Tom Reedy.

Investigators say the suspects even tried to hire the deputy to murder a competing drug dealer.

The suspects are being held on bonds totaling 44-million dollars.
