The crime has all the ingredients for a great movie script; drugs, attempted-murder-for-hire and an undercover deputy posing as a dirty cop.

But this real-life cop drama ended with a dozen suspects in the Denton County jail.

Investigators say the suspects offered the undercover officer huge bribes to get charges dropped against them.

"He was told that he could earn 2-million dollars in a very short length of time if he would go along with and help their operation," said Denton County's Tom Reedy.

It's a real-life law enforcement drama, a Denton County Sheriff's Deputy posed as a dirty cop in an undercover sting operation that included bribery, money laundering, drug trafficking and even attempted murder-for-hire.

Investigators say the suspects even tried to hire the deputy to murder a competing drug dealer.

The suspects are being held on bonds totaling 44-million dollars.
