Denton County Swears in First Hispanic Constable

Denton County swore in their first ever Hispanic constable on Tuesday morning.

Jesse Flores took the oath of office at the beginning of the Denton County Commissioners Court session with his wife and kids by his side.

Flores was elected to fill Precinct One which was vacated in December when former constable Jim Dotson died.

The county says Flores grew up in Fort Worth and was previously an officer with the Lewisville Police Department.

He will fill the seat until it goes up for election in 2014.
