A Denton County couple is on a mission to bring their beloved pet back home, but Goose isn't the average house pet.
He's an 8-month-old pig who recently got out of his backyard in Hickory Creek and wound up at animal control.
His owners went to pick him up but say they couldn't take him home because an ordinance doesn't allow pigs in the city.
The couple now plans to go before city council to request a change in the ordinance so they can bring Goose home.
"We miss him, our animals miss him, our neighbors miss him. We just want him home," said owner Danielle Abbott.
Goose is now out of the shelter, and his family says he will stay at a foster home until they can sort things out.
