Dallas police released video Wednesday of a shootout that injured a bystander and a police officer last month.
Kenneth Horton, 31, allegedly fired three-dozen rounds at a Pleasant Grove apartment complex where his former girlfriend was staying.
He fired 12 rounds on two officers who were responding to 911 calls about a man shooting at the apartments, striking Officer Richard Whitt three times.
The dashboard camera in Whitt's cruiser captured the gunfire.
Police found Horton dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigators said they believe he intended to die at the complex.
Whitt and Keenon Furnanace, a bystander who stepped out of a nearby apartment, are recovering from their injuries.
