  • Mike Tuesday, Jan 6 at 4:14 PM FLAG COMMENT What is up with Dallas' city counsel. Why do they always come up the the stupidest stuff? you can't compare Dallas with New York, NY. There are over 6 million people in N.Y. city of which 65% are between 18 to 65. There's always tourist, and the city streets are heavily traveled. Look at downtown Dallas and it's a practically a ghost town during non-business hours except for the West end and Deep Ellum. This just ... MORE >
  • MM Tuesday, Jan 6 at 3:29 PM FLAG COMMENT Instead of buying TV's for downtown so the city can be hip and popular, they should instead place in the school system. Or did they forget that their school district was hurting for money. This is so ridiculous. I really hope the people of Dallas stand up against this!
  • jonathan Tuesday, Jan 6 at 2:47 PM FLAG COMMENT Dallas' downtown needs big help and i personally don't think video advertising boards is going to help. Have you been downtown Dallas lately? There more street people and shady looking characters than the eye can see. I am not being judgemental, but look at Ft. Worth's downtown life compared to Dallas. Ft. Worth has more homeless people too!
  • Chris Tuesday, Jan 6 at 12:38 PM FLAG COMMENT I guess the Dallas City Council doesn't remember the video boards they used to have at DFW Airport..........
  • DTX Tuesday, Jan 6 at 11:50 AM FLAG COMMENT Downtown is dead relative to places like New York because we're more spread out. There is no reason for people to congregate in a small space like in Times Square. I don't know if this will really bring in revenue or not, but I think there is little chance of it attracting more people downtown.
