Dallas police were expected to release surveillance video Monday of the ambush shootings at a July 7 protest that left five officers dead and several others wounded.
Police were expected to release the footage just after 8 a.m., but later said the video would not be released until there is a ruling from the Texas Attorney General's Office.
On that night four Dallas police officers and one Dallas Area Rapid Transit officer were killed by Micah Xavier Johnson during the protest over shootings involving police officers around the country.
Johnson, 25, was killed when authorities cornered him and detonated an explosive device attached to a robot inside El Centro College.
Johnson served in the U.S. Army before being discharged in 2014 after claims he sexually harassed a female soldier.
