Shots Fired at Officers Working Car Crash

Special Investigators are searching for the gunman who fired on Dallas police officers as they worked to clear a car crash, police said.

Dallas police were working a vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 67 and East Ledbetter Drive at 10 p.m. Friday when shots were fired at them from a passing vehicle, according to police.

Officers pulled over a vehicle matching the description of the car used in the shooting. Four people inside the car were arrested and questioned by the Special Investigations Unit. 

An investigation determined the four were not involved in the shooting, but all four were sent to jail due to outstanding warrants, police said.

No officers were injured, and no property was damaged, according to police.
