For the sixth time in two weeks, a woman has been robbed in a store parking lot.

The latest robbery happened on Wednesday at the Sprouts on Henderson Avenue near Greenville Avenue.

Sheryl Brown, a mother of two, said she’d just finished unloading her groceries when she turned around to find a man pointing a gun at her head.

“My first through that went through my head when he had that gun in my face was, 'I want to see my kids,'” Brown said.

Brown said the two were wedged between her car and the one next to it, so she shoved her purse at the man and took off running and screaming.

She said the man went the opposite direction and disappeared around the side of the store, where she said there was a car waiting for him.

The various robberies have happened across Dallas, including the Tom Thumb off Northwest Highway and Central Expressway, a shopping center off Alpha Road near the Galleria, a Target off Haskell Road and Central Expressway, the Tom Thumb on Lovers near Greenville and in a parking lot off Webb Chapel and Northwest Highway.

In one case, a mother had her child with her, and in another, a woman was dragged momentarily when the suspect in a car took off.

Police are working to find out if the crimes are connected.

“You look at every person in the parking lot and you’re suspicious and that’s a terrible feeling,” Brown said. “I wasn’t on my cell phone, I wasn’t talking to anyone, I wasn’t reading anything and he’s still surprised me and got it. They can get anyone and it’s just so quick.”
