Update: Dallas police said they safely located a 12-year-old boy who had been missing since Monday.
Duekorie Carter-McKinney left Northlake Elementary School at about 3:15 p.m., authorities said. He was last seen at a fast food restaurant near the intersection of Walnut Hill Lane and Audelia Road at about 5 p.m.
Police described Carter-McKinney as 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 145 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green collared shirt, bluejeans and a green and blue hooded sweatshirt.
Carter-McKinney suffers from insulin dependency and needs four shots per day, according to police.
The Dallas Police Department asked that anyone with information about Carter-McKinney's disappearance call them at 911 or 214-671-4268.
