Dallas Police Officer Arrested

An off-duty Dallas police officer was arrested early Sunday morning after a fight at a nightclub.

Dallas police Sgt. Hector Roa was "involved in a physical confrontation at Club Public House, located at 2010 Greenville Avenue, with two employees," according to a news release issued Sunday afternoon by the Dallas Police Department.

Details on the confrontation were not released, but Roa was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault. 

Dallas police said Roa is a 14-year veteran of the police force and has been placed on administrative leave pending a criminal and an internal investigation. 

Roa could not be reached for comment Sunday.
