Dallas Police are investigating after multiple officers were involved in a shooting Saturday afternoon.

Police said the incident actually started with a previous shooting call 15 minutes before at an apartment complex along the same street.
When officers arrived, they found a victim injured from a gunshot wound who was taken to a nearby hospital. His condition is unknown.
Officers then got information that the shooting suspect was hiding behind a dumpster nearby on Cranfill Drive.
The suspect has been identified as 30-year-old Dijon Watkins.
As officers approached, they said Watkins came out from behind the dumpster and started firing at officers. Multiple officers returned fire.
He was then transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
